Arabella is the 4A State Champion in the 3200M for Lake Nona High School!! 🥇 She also finished 7th in the 1600M with a NEW PR and a new school record for Lake Nona High of 4:53.70 ⏱️💪

She is closing out the school year currently ranked #2 in the 1600M and #3 in the 3200M for Florida Sophomores!! 👏📚🏅

We are SO proud of you, Arabella! Your hard work, dedication, and determination continue to inspire us all! 💙🖤

Shout out to Science Club! To cap off the end of the school year, Science Club students got to be a part of an awesome dissection lab! 🔬🧪 Students dove into comparative anatomy, examining how structure relates to function across multiple organisms and identifying homologous structures—bringing key Sunshine State Standards to life through hands-on investigation and scientific inquiry.

Students also took a field trip to Gatorland 🐊🌿, where they explored Florida’s ecosystems, learned about native species, food webs, and adaptations, and connected our observations to environmental science standards focused on biodiversity and conservation in our state.

From the lab to the field, it’s been an incredible way to apply real-world science skills like observation, data collection, and critical thinking! 🌎✨

As we close out Volunteer Appreciation Month, we want to extend our deepest thanks to our incredible OCVS volunteers.

Thank you for always being ready to jump in and lend a hand when needed, for supporting school-wide initiatives, and for consistently putting students first in everything you do. Your kindness, dedication, and willingness to serve make a lasting impact on our entire school community.

Because of you, OCVS continues to be a place where students feel supported, encouraged, and empowered to succeed.

They came... They picnicked... They planted!

Blooming together 🌸🌿 On April 23, 2026 (Earth Day), 30+ amazing OCVS students from BSU, NHS, NEHS & Do Something Club picnicked and created a brand-new garden on campus — planting flowers, mulching, and adding pinwheels, flags, statues & windchimes to make our space shine. Huge thanks to our OCVS Volunteer Ms. Singleton for collaborating in partnership with Partners in Ed, At Home & Home Depot for the generous donations that made it possible. Special shout-outs to our students, too, for bringing picnic donations and garden donations to nourish our bodies and beautify our outdoor space.
