❤️ CPR is more than “push & blow.”
When an emergency happens, knowing CPR means more than simply remembering to start compressions.
High-quality CPR involves several key components:
🫀 Effective chest compressions Maintaining the correct rate and depth helps circulate blood to the brain and heart.
↩️ Allowing full chest recoil The chest needs to completely recoil between compressions.
⏱️ Minimizing interruptions The goal is to keep blood flowing with as few unnecessary pauses as possible.
⚡ Early AED use When an AED is available, using it as soon as possible can be critical.
And perhaps most importantly?
You need to know what to do before the emergency happens.

🚨 MYTH vs. FACT 🚨
Myth: CPR restarts the heart.
Fact: CPR doesn’t restart the heart—it keeps oxygen-rich blood flowing to the brain and other vital organs until an AED and emergency medical services can provide advanced care.
Think of CPR as a bridge. It buys valuable time when every second counts.
❤️ High-quality CPR, early use of an AED, and calling 911 as quickly as possible work together to give someone the best chance of survival.
The truth is, you don’t have to be a healthcare professional to make a lifesaving difference. Knowing what to do—and having the confidence to act—could help save the life of a family member, friend, coworker, or even a stranger.
