Sorry to share this news. Prayers for his family 🙏🏻

We wanted to share with you the sad news that Dr. James Bartling passed away yesterday.

Dr. Bartling, BSPharm '76, PharmD '77, began his career here at the College as an instructor, then director of admissions and later as associate dean of student affairs and admissions. He retired in June 2016 after serving the College for more than 30 years.

He was a past president of the Georgia Pharmacy Association, served on the board of directors of the Georgia Pharmacy Foundation and led the PharmAssist Committee for pharmacists in recovery from addiction.

He and his wife, Linda, lived in Dunwoody. They had four children.

A memorial this weekend will be private. If you wish to send a card, you may send it to the College, and the College will send it to the family.
