Welcome to the official page for the great Jones High School Alumni and Supporters. In partnership with the JHS Boosters Club. In 1912, L.C. C.W.

Believed to have been established in 1895, the school now known as Jones High School was first an old frame building on the southwest corner of Garland Avenue and Church Street. Later it was moved to the corner of Jefferson and Chatham Streets and was named Johnson Academy in Honor of Lymus Johnson, the principal. Jones became principal of Johnson Academy. This time last week, we were proudly welcoming our youngest Tiger graduates into the alumni family! 💚🧡

The Class of 2026 truly showed up and showed out, and we couldn’t be more proud of all they’ve accomplished. The future is bright, and these Tigers are just getting started!

We know we have publicly thanked the Tiger Pride Day Committee, but it was truly special to see them recognized and appreciated by School Board Member Felder on yesterday evening.

The hard work, commitment, and sacrifice have not gone unnoticed. These proud alumni continue to pour into planning and executing one of JHS’ most celebrated days, and that level of dedication deserves to be seen and honored.
