Believed to have been established in 1895, the school now known as Jones High School was first an old frame building on the southwest corner of Garland Avenue and Church Street. Later it was moved to the corner of Jefferson and Chatham Streets and was named Johnson Academy in Honor of Lymus Johnson, the principal. Jones became principal of Johnson Academy. ‼️CLASS MEMBERSHIP CHALLENGE‼️
Last year, ONE class could win a free TPD tent. This year, EVERY class has a chance to earn one!
25+ members = FREE TPD TENT
(Exception: classes in the 1960s: 10+ members)
It can be done! Last year, three classes pushed close to 30 members or more.
Our goal is 250 members—and as Jones alumni, we should be able to SLAM DUNK it! 🏀🔥
