A very merry welcome to you and join our 2025 Winter Showcase on Thursday, December 11th at 7pm! ❄️ Our dear & .strings students have prepared a lovely present of arts and culture for you and your family 🎁 Come and join us for free at the Maxine Risper Auditorium tomorrow for an evening of winter delights! 🎄

Over the weekend, the former Director of Strings and Performing Arts Team Lead, Mrs. Janice Roberts, passed away. Mrs. Roberts (re)started the Orchestra and Chorus programs here at Oak Ridge in 2009. If you had the pleasure of knowing her, you know she was an exceptional educator, mentor, and role model. She was deeply committed to nurturing young musicians and poured her heart into building a strong, vibrant performing arts community on our campus. Her passion, high standards, and unwavering belief in our students’ potential helped shape the department into what it is today. Many of the traditions we still honor were established through her dedication and vision.
One tradition she held especially close was our annual Winter Showcase. In recognition of her impact and legacy, we will be dedicating this year’s showcase to her. Please join us this Thursday, 12/11, at 7:00pm as we honor Mrs. Roberts and celebrate the programs she helped build. 💚💛 Forever a Pioneer

Congratulations to our Orchestra and Guitar students for completing their first annual ORHS Solo Project! Students displayed artistic ownership and chose their solos to perform to the class. It was a treat to share class love to each performance and grow 1% better every day. Happy Halloween 🎃
