Celebrating the outstanding accomplishments of our Scholars and alumni at events including the BHC Medallion Conferral, Family Weekend, and BHC Homecoming showcases the talent, dedication, and commitment to excellence that defines the BHC.

Community is the BHC difference. Whether Scholars are dressing up in costumes at BHC Trick or Treat, making ornaments at the BHC Winter Holiday Party, or designing cards at Palentine’s Day, BHC events bring students together to celebrate, create, and connect!

From starting and finishing the week off strong with Monday Morning Breakfast and Thursday Afternoon Treat to the sizzling grills at the BHC Spring BBQ, our BHC events help power a student’s day. Skipping meals can impact focus, memory, and energy, inspiring us to keep fueling success.

Whether our Deans are welcoming students to campus at Frito Pie Friday, catching up with Scholars at Chatting Over Chai, or connecting at Kicking Back with Koi, these moments foster connections and strengthen relationships within the BHC community.

Meet Hannah Benton during tomorrow’s BHC Scholar Instagram Story Takeover!

Hannah Benton is currently on her way to present her Honors Undergraduate Thesis at two national research conferences. She’ll be presenting at the National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR) in Pittsburgh on April 8th and the Conference on College Composition & Communication (CCCC) in Baltimore on April 10th. As a Writing & Rhetoric major, Benton researched the intrinsic link between fan studies and disability rhetoric. She explored how/why fanfictions affirm or transform canonical depictions of disability in mass media. Through her work, she aims to advocate for the presence of humanities research in STEM-dominated spaces while spreading awareness for disability nationally.
