During the session, OCPS will share more about the vision for the program, next steps, and information about the application process as planning continues.
This program is designed for students in grades 3โ6 who have a strong interest in baseball or softball and would benefit from a smaller learning environment that connects academics with athletic development.
Cheney is excited to be part of this opportunity, and we will continue sharing updates as more information becomes available.
Please feel free to share this with any families who may be interested.

Yesterday was a busy and meaningful day at Cheney Elementary.
We celebrated our Pre-K and Kindergarten students during their end-of-year program, recognized our fifth grade students at their awards ceremony, and provided a Chick-fil-A lunch for students in grades 2โ5 who met their FAST academic goals.
We are proud of our students for their hard work and growth this year, and we appreciate our staff and families for supporting them along the way.
Thank you to everyone who helped make these celebrations possible. Be sure to post your pictures below. We want to see all of our kids. This was just what I had on my phone. -Mr. Scott

Today we welcomed back some of Cheneyโs graduating seniors for their final high fives! ๐๐
It was special to see them return to where their journey began and reconnect with some of the teachers who helped cheer them on along the way. Once a Viking, always a Viking!
