Chicken pot pie made last night. It was so good. I modified the recipe and the preparation technique. Baking time (90 minutes) was greatly increased; contents stovetop precooked; and sautéed onions added. The result was not as soupy, which was desired. Very little spilled out. It needed another 15 minutes of baking, I think. 1 package puff pastry sheets. 1 jar Bertolli Alfredo sauce. 3 cups cut up chicken. (We always have Sam’s rotisserie chicken leftovers cut up, frozen, and ready. Sauté 1 radial-cut small onion, combine with 1 can each corn, sliced carrots, early peas, cut green beans, 1/2 tsp each allspice, pepper, salt, thyme. Pinch of red pepper flakes. Cook and stir occasionally 30 minutes stovetop. Roll out pastry sheets with rolling pin to way larger size. One sheet is put in bottom of greased and floured casserole. One sheet is cut into strips to top with a lattice. Egg wash the top and bake at 375°.
