There are a number of different types of drum lessons available to you if you are just starting out. In fact, the best and fastest way to learn is to study the drums that you like to listen to. For example, if you like jazz music, then learn jazz drums. If you are a big band drum lover, then learn big band.

Some may not be aware of the strain that occurs on their fingers when they play guitar. This can actually be remedied by practicing frequently. The consistency allows your fingers to get acclimated to the feel of the strings and alleviate any possible discomfort.
