📣 PTSA Needs You!
We are currently looking for parents/guardians to serve on the PTSA Board for the 2026–2027 school year. Open positions include President, Vice president(optional), Secretary, and Treasurer.
đź“… Board Vote: April 23, 2026
đź•• Time: 6:00 PM
📍 Location: Wedgefield School Library
If you’re interested, please email mailto:[email protected] as soon as possible.
If we are unable to fill these three required positions, we will be forced to mark the Wedgefield PTSA as inactive for the upcoming school year. This would be a significant loss for our school community.

Thanks to our PTSA board and volunteers, this year alone we were able to provide:
• Boo-Hoo/Yahoo Breakfast
• Middle School Dance & Elementary Dance
• Boo Grams & Valentine Grams
• Day of Awesomeness
• Holiday Shop
• STEM Night
• Teacher Appreciation Events
• Veterans Day Brunch
• Student & Teacher Grants (field trips, classroom enhancements, and more)
• Spirit Shirts
…and many other events over the years!
Without a PTSA board, many of these programs and events will not be possible, or would require additional fundraising and time from our already stretched teachers and staff.
🙏 Please consider getting involved and helping make a difference for our students and school community. We truly need your support!

Hi everyone,

We truly appreciate parents sharing their thoughts and concerns—open communication is important to us, and we always want our school community to feel heard.

That said, we’d like to offer a little perspective. All PTSA events, including our free events, are planned, funded, and run entirely by parent volunteers. Right now, we are experiencing a significant shortage of volunteers, which directly impacts what we are able to offer and how often we can offer it.

Many of the challenges being raised stem from this lack of support. PTSA members are doing their best with limited time, hands, and resources, but we simply cannot do it alone. Attending meetings, volunteering at events, or even helping behind the scenes makes a huge difference—not just in ex*****on, but in understanding the time, coordination, and effort that goes into every single event.

We warmly invite anyone who has concerns or ideas to get involved and join us at our PTSA meetings. Being part of the process offers valuable insight into what’s happening, how decisions are made, and where help is most needed. More importantly, it strengthens our community and ultimately benefits our children.

Thank you to those who already volunteer and support the PTSA—we truly couldn’t do this without you. And to anyone considering getting involved, we would be so grateful to have you.
