arious babysitting jobs. This is where I knew I wanted to work with children. I have always loved being around kids. I have been working with children for over 22 years. Despite trying different careers as a hair stylist and a medical assistant, I knew that my heart was always with working with children. I was hired by Tutor Time in Newburgh as an assistant teacher. Once the owners of Tutor Time saw how dedicated I was to my job and to the kids I was promoted to preschool teacher. Tutor Time then became Children's Corner where I was promoted to an infant room teacher. I worked for Tutor time/Children's Corner for 3 years. In July of 2001, I married the love of my life who was serving the United States Army. He was stationed at West Point Military Academy. I continued working with children by starting my own home daycare. In my daycare, I took care of 4 special needs children. In December of 2002, I gave birth to my first daughter, Lily, and five years later we had our second daughter, Ciena. During this time I decided to dedicate myself to raising my daughters. As they grew and entered preschool, I began to babysit for friends and neighbors. I never thought of it as just babysitting because I was always interacting with the kids, teaching them things and doing projects just like I would do in my daycare. In January of 2012 my husband received a job offer right here in Orlando. Although I would miss my family in New York, I was eager to see what this new chapter in my life would bring me. Once we were settled in our new home, my stepdaughter, Thaila came to live with us also. It took me some time to adjust to the Florida life but I eventually came to love it. This leads me to my new home daycare, Play N Learn. The passion of opening up another day care was burning inside me until one day I said I'm going to do it. I will be taking CPR & Frist Aid class to get recertified and I have taken all of the required courses that are mandated by the State of Florida. Every day is a step closer to living my dream and I am so glad that you and your child are a part of it. There was a quote that I read once and it has always stuck with me. It reads "The future is manifest in our children's imagination and perfected in the games they play." I believe this to be very true and I would like to thank you for letting me be a part of the beginning of your child's future.
