Does your student want to learn how to be a leader, give back to the community, and make friends? Join the Avalon Huskies Builder’s Club partnered with the YMCA After School Zone! We learn how to lead and make things happen. We discover how to work with each other and bring out the best in one another. Best of all, we make friends who care as much as we do about creating a better world. If you are interested, please reach out to Mr. Lombardi or Ms. Michelle at the YMCA. Meetings will be held on Fridays starting on September 4th. Students must be registered with the YMCA After School Zone. Remember, ALL are welcome in the Builder’s Club!

Join us in congratulating Ms. Melendez on being named Avalon Middle School's Support Person of the Year for 2026-2027!

As our school secretary, Ms. Melendez is truly the heart of our front office and such an invaluable part of our school community. Her kindness, warmth, patience, and unwavering dedication make a difference in the lives of our students, families, and staff every single day. She is often the first smiling face you see and the person who is always ready to lend a helping hand, offer encouragement, or simply make someone’s day a little brighter.

This recognition is so well deserved, and we are proud to celebrate someone who gives so much of herself to our school community!

YayJoin us in congratulating Ms. Tiwari, our 2026–2027 Teacher of the Year! As a 6th grade ELA teacher and department head, Ms. Tiwari brings passion, purpose, and heart to everything she does. She has a gift for inspiring students to find their voice, discover a love of reading and writing, and believe in their own abilities.

Beyond her classroom, Ms. Tiwari is a dedicated leader and a tremendous source of support and inspiration for her colleagues. Her commitment to her students, her department, and our school community is evident in all that she does. She leads with knowledge, compassion, and a genuine desire to see those around her succeed.

We are incredibly proud to celebrate Ms. Tiwari and this well-deserved recognition. Her dedication, leadership, and love for teaching make her an exceptional educator and a wonderful representative of our school.
