Dream Academy - Orlando

This week students from Jones High school came to Memorial Middle to provide mentorship, tips and career advice to the Memorial TV production team!

Here’s a recap of todays mentor sessions! These mentees are newcomers in the Dream Academy and have quickly formed connections with their mentors!

One of the great things the Orlando Dream Site is doing is teaching our Jones High school dreamers is about the importance of financial literacy! We thank McCoy Federal for their recent workshop that provided fun, engaging and hands on games for better understanding!

Here’s a of Jones High School’s HBCU Week! Students were able to participate in many HBCU related activities such as a Marching Band Jeopardy. It was a great opportunity to witness students engage in HBCU pride and begin to process their college options.

This week Dream Academy led a mindfulness session with our Exceptional Student. Students were allowed to let their imaginations flow while calming music filled the room.

This week Ms. Dawson’s ICON Modeling Troupe learned about the importance of dress code and to prioritize looking your best everywhere you go. There was also a quick rehearsal for their upcoming show! We’re happy to see her be a mentor to our !

It was a pleasure to assist the Memorial Middle’s Stem Club ran by Mrs. Ransom and watch work on their robotic Lego kits.
