Another high-intensity training day in the books.
Today in Miami, The Rescue Company 1 team put flight crews through the paces in our Aviation & Open Water Survival course. Huge shoutout to the dedicated professionals from Air Methods and the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Transport Team for putting in the work.
When an emergency happens over water, muscle memory and realistic preparation are everything. These crews tackled:
* Emergency ditching procedures
* Cold-water survival tactics and hypothermia management
* Life raft deployment, boarding, and emergency equipment operations
* Water rescue signaling, coordination, and hoist readiness
Preparing for worst-case scenarios ensures these teams return home safely after every mission. Thank you for your commitment to elite readiness and the critical patients you serve across South Florida every single day.
Train hard. Stay safe.
