There is nothing quite like the joy on a child’s face when a real paramedic, teacher, or firefighter steps into the classroom! Beyond the cool gear and stories, our students learn about kindness, safety, and working as a team.

September hits differently for little ones.

The loose rhythms of summer are gone.
New classroom. Maybe a new teacher.
Definitely new feelings and not always the easy kind.

Frustration at drop-off.
Overwhelm during transitions.
Big emotions in small bodies trying to figure out where they fit.

At Da Vinci MetroWest, we don’t wait for a dedicated “feelings class”

Before we share how we care for your children at school, here are 4 general tips to protect your little ones at home during these intense heatwaves:

1. Hydration first: Keep their personal water bottles filled and accessible at their height so they can drink independently.
2. Lightweight clothing: Opt for breathable, light-colored cotton fabrics.
3. Shaded play: Limit outdoor exposure between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM, choosing shaded or indoor spaces instead.
4. Cool snacks: Offer water-rich fruits like watermelon or cucumber slices.
