So I know they’re only original once but considering the condition of this fisher X-101c when I got it I figured it’s fair. The black leather cover on the lower panel was shriveled and falling off, so I removed it and took it back to regular metal. Had to use engine cleaner to get the old adhesives off but this gave it a gold mirror finish. What say ye?

Tube stereo amp and receiver speaker hookups.. seriously what in the hell is this crap supposed to be?! I swear some companies that built gear said, "hmm. Lets make the speaker hookups as confusing and terrible as we possibly can!" . I swear troll face designed some of these. Seriously
Why tho?!

Found after sitting nearly 50 years on a shelf in a garage, this 1958 heathkit W5m wakes up. Replaced some of the caps that were way out of tolerance and it came right on. Monitored closley for about an hour. Havent cleaned it up yet.

After atleast a 40 year sleep, this dynaco PAS-2 preamp has awoken. Awia BPC shelf system was the blood sacrifice. Used the caps from it to fix the blown ones in this preamp. Finally have a nerve center for the tube super system. I can completely eliminate all transistors from the system now. Woohoo! John Clark is chillin over here and were bringing stuff back to life. Fun night getting this one going along with one of the Heathkit W5m amps. Waking more of them up tomorrow. Stay tuned!
