During our free, 30-minute Initial Consultations, parents and students meet virtually with our Co-Founder and Director of Academic Coaching, . She assesses the student’s academic history, habits, and needs, collaborating with the parent and student to create a personalized learning plan and set achievable learning goals.
It’s also a time when parents and students can ask any questions they might have regarding specific academic recommendations, like whether they should prep for the ACT or SAT or how many times a week they should meet with their Academic Coach.

Lifelong learning doesn’t happen without failure. Practicing self-compassion is a healthy, effective way to move through failure and stress and continue pursuing your goals and passions. 🙌
Check out for more informative and practical self-compassion resources 👌

It gives us that supportive mental space we need to say, ‘Okay, well, that hurt. Ouch. It happened. What can I do better next time?’” The quote is attributed to Dr. Kristin Neff

The amount of studying you need to do depends on how many exams you have and how difficult they might be. Generally, we recommend starting to study for exams 1-2 weeks in advance.
Look ahead to your test dates and plan out your study time in your planner or calendar now! Practicing information you need to know a little bit each day, even for just 20-30 minutes, will help you retain the content better. 👌

Taking breaks while you study helps your body and brain recharge so you can continue learning and mastering course content. Here are a few of our favorite ways to do that!
🍊 refuel: eat a snack, drink water, or make yourself some coffee or tea
🏃➡️ do something physical: stretch, go for a walk, or do some light exercise
🧘 re-center yourself: meditate, do a breathing exercise, or journal
🎨 let loose: listen to music, dance, draw, or watch a short episode of a show or YouTube video
