Our goal is to provide quality technical training and the enhancement of the overall dance experience. We are committed to both students who desire dance as a professional career and novice students who would like to experience a new form of artistic expression. A strong technical emphasis is placed on a wide variety of dance disciplines available to students from any dance background. We provide

a variety of performance opportunities for our dancers with the goal of strengthening their professional training experience. Valencia College offers a solid dance education, one that will ensure its students a future in the performing arts.

Don’t forget to reserve your spot for our upcoming A.A. in Dance Performance in-person audition on June 28th! (Sign-up link in bio)

The A.A. in Dance Performance audition will consist of a technique class: ballet barre and center, modern combination and jazz combination. Individual choreography or a solo is not required. Participants are encouraged to wear black leotards and pink or flesh colored tights for the women and white shirt and black tights for the men. Please bring all dance shoes.

Applications are due in just over a week! We can’t wait to see you there. :)

Hello everyone! Join us in meeting our New 2025-2026 Officers of Valencia Dance, School of Arts and Entertainment!

Last but certainly not least, we have Ariaghna Parrilla Rey!! When she was little, Ari asked her parents to enroll her in dance & she has been involved ever since. Her journey has taken her from the Howard Middle School Dance Program to the Dr. Phillip’s High School Dance Magnet to now getting to be a dance major at Valencia College! As well as being president she is also a member of Valencia’s dance company, Valencia Dance Theater.

- She loves choreographing! she currently has a notes app w/ 219 unused choreography ideas (& she’s still adding to it)
- She gets aggressive hiccups EVERYDAY, but never while dancing
- Ariaghna was also president of her high school dance program!

Hello everyone! Join us in meeting our New 2025-2026 Officers of Valencia Dance, School of Arts and Entertainment!

Next up we have Dante Lewis Fernandez! Dante started dancing four years ago and is now currently completing his Associates in Arts, Dance Performance Degree Major Pathway. Dante’s plan after Valencia is to attend the Jacksonville University Dance Program.

Fun facts about Dante:
- Was wheelchair bound for a year after being hit by a car
- Favorite muppet is Rowlf the dog
- He had a split dye during quarantine

Next up we have Judah Hanson! Judah started dancing at age 11 and now is currently completing her Associates in Arts, Dance Performance Degree Major Pathway. Judah’s plan after Valencia will be to start working on her own dance career and hopes to move to Los Angeles, California to perform as a professional!

Next we have Ruby Borges! Ruby has been dancing since she was 4 years old and is currently pursuing her Associates in Arts, Dance Performance Degree Major Pathway. After Valencia, she plans to further her education in Dance Performance at a four year university, as well as minor in physical therapy.

Fun facts about Ruby:
- She moved to the U.S. from Puerto Rico when she was 9 years old
- She plays the guitar
- Her favorite color is purple

Hi everyone! Join us in meeting our New 2025-2026 Officers of Valencia Dance, School of Arts and Entertainment!

First up we have Valeria Ysabel! Valeria first fell in love with dancing when she was 4 years old. After dancing competitively for 11 years, she continues to pursue her passion by working on her Associates in Arts, Dance Performance Degree Major Pathway. Val’s plan after Valencia is to transfer to a four year university, where she will pursue a double major. Continuing her education in Dance Performance and also getting a degree in Business.

Fun facts about Valeria:
- She loves Hello Kitty
- Sour>>Sweet
- Her favorite artists are Frank Ocean, Kaytranada, The Internet, and PinkPanthress
