BMC's Jazz Band, Concert Band, Moore Sound, Percussion Ensemble, and the Black & Gold Brigade treated our BMC community to "A Most Wonderful Christmas" concert. The traditional Christmas medley sing-a-long, always a crowd favorite, brought the concert to a close.
Dr. Wikstrom offered her thanks to Director James Barker, Jazz Band Director Adam Mantovani, and Choir Director John Wasman for their dedication to these talented students and their programs.

Father Martin Nguyen, pastor of Holy Family Catholic Church and School, shared a reflection on the Eucharist at our Family of Faith this morning. Father said that he has never doubted the presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist and shared a beautiful story about how he was comforted by Jesus in the Tabernacle. While praying before the blessed sacrament during a difficult time in his life, Father shared that he felt a warmth and peace and knew that Jesus was looking right at him.

Father said the Lord reminded him of two things that day.
1. An invitation: Come to me all you who find life burdensome and I will give you rest.
2. A promise: Behold I am with you always even until the end of the age.
The Lord shared two reminders with Father

During our Advent Blessing today, Sister reminded us that the grace of Advent is an opportunity for us to draw closer to God. Deacon Timmes then shared three ways in which we can do just that:
1. Ask ourselves what gifts God has given us, and how are we using them for good?
2. We are called to evangelization--Invite someone to attend Mass with you.
3. Pray for the holy souls in purgatory.

Following the blessing, our band and choir presented a preview of tonight's concert, and Santa and Mrs. Claus reminded the assembly it was not too late to support the toy drive.

This morning we had the special opportunity to host a Mother-Son Breakfast for 120 of our BMC moms and sons. It was a beautiful morning of fellowship, sharing, and prayer together.

Our moms reflected on the incredible vocation of motherhood, and their call to journey with their sons just as Mary did for Jesus. Our young men were then given the chance to express their heartfelt gratitude and love for their moms, and to reflect on their mission as sons. It was a special morning to share together!

The day ended with student reflection and Adoration. Bishop Moore Catholic was excited to partner with Sharing Center Charities of Central Florida and United Against Poverty to support their efforts in serving the Central Florida community.
