Recently, the FLVS Foundation received this heartfelt note from the family of a Laptop for Learners recipient:

"Endless thank you's Ms. Brunner for your understanding and compassion toward our cause of trying to keep our son's education in reach by providing another laptop from your Foundation. As mentioned earlier, he has mental and behavioral challenges that keep him out of traditional brick-and-mortar schools. Homeschool is now his only option remaining... Every bit of help fills a big gap. Thank you."
— FLVS Parent

For many families, a laptop is more than just a device—it's access to education, stability, opportunity, and hope. Through the Laptop for Learners program, the FLVS Foundation helps remove technology barriers so students can continue learning in an environment that meets their unique needs.

Stories like this remind us that your generosity has a real and lasting impact on students and families across Florida.

There's nothing more inspiring than hearing directly from the students whose lives are impacted by your support. 💙

Meet Zoey Carrie Bradshaw, a 5th grade FLVS student, as she shares her firsthand experience attending the STARBASE STEM Camp at Patrick Space Force Base, made possible through the support of the FLVS Foundation. From exploring STEM through hands-on activities to discovering exciting career possibilities, Zoey's story is a wonderful reminder of the lasting impact these experiences can have.

A special thank you to our generous donors and partners—including the Consortium of Florida Education Foundations through its Matching Grant Program—for helping make opportunities like this possible. Your support is inspiring the next generation of innovators, explorers, and leaders.

🚀 Building Future Innovators, One STEM Experience at a Time!

This summer, 22 FLVS students immersed themselves in a week of hands-on STEM learning at DoD STARBASE Orlando, exploring drones, CAD design, cybersecurity, Arduino programming, and space technology.

The results speak for themselves!

📈 Students increased their average assessment score from 6.27 to 8.50 out of 10, with remarkable gains in key concepts like CAD (+91 percentage points), Arduino hardware (+68), and cyber threats (+45).

Students also reported increased confidence in science, mathematics, and technology while gaining a deeper understanding of STEM careers.

These experiences are made possible through the support of our generous donors and partners, and the Consortium of a Florida Education Foundation Matching Grant program, who help remove barriers and inspire the next generation of innovators, problem-solvers, and leaders.

Thank you for investing in Florida's future! 💙

Yesterday, the FLVS Foundation Board came together for a productive and inspiring board meeting hosted at Lockheed Martin.

During our visit, we had the incredible opportunity to see four FLVS student interns—part of a Foundation-supported program—in action, gaining hands-on experience and building real-world skills. The day also included a behind-the-scenes tour of the facility, offering a firsthand look at innovation in motion.

Thank you to all who attended and to board member Monet Nathaniel for hosting us at the facility. We’re proud to support programs that open doors for students and connect learning to future careers!
