St. John Fisher is an Ordinariate Church and fully Catholic but what does that mean?

The best way to describe the Ordinariate is expressed in how we worship. Worship in an Ordinariate Parish is a unique way to demonstrate beauty and reverence when we come before the Lord. This form of worship is fully Catholic in expression and content; beautiful in form, poetic in speech, and reverent to God.

Why is the Priest facing the altar and not the people?

He is offering prayers with us to the Lord. Put simply, he is not “turning his back to the people;” rather both he and the people are facing God. The Priest becomes a representative standing for and before the people — between themselves and the Holy of Holies — praying for them and offering their sacrifice in a unique and consecrated way.
