🌟 All-Star of the Week has officially kicked off, and we’re already shining brighter than the multiplication steps in our hallway! 🌟

Our kiddos came ready to celebrate, certificates in hand, smiles on full blast, and enough excitement to power the whole school’s Wi-Fi. The staircase turned into the VIP Lounge for champions—because nothing says “I’m amazing” like posing next to 7×8=56. Each All-Star brought their own sparkle, and honestly, we’re considering issuing sunglasses to staff.

We’re so proud of these rockstars for leading with kindness, effort, and big brain energy. And don’t worry—this is just the beginning. More All-Stars, more celebrations, and definitely more adorable stairway photo shoots coming your way! ✨📸

🎨🖌️ Warning: A Creative Masterpiece Explosion Has Occurred at Vista Lakes Elementary! 🖌️🎨

Our talented All-Stars have been hard at work in Art class, and the results are frame-worthy! From peaceful beach scenes to colorful sunset masterpieces, these young artists proved that crayons, paint, and creativity are a powerful combination. Some students even appeared to be negotiating with the paint for "just one more perfect brushstroke!" 🌊🌅🎨 The hallways may never be the same after this burst of artistic brilliance. We are so proud of the creativity, effort, and imagination our students bring to every project. Keep shining, All-Stars... the next famous artist just might be walking our halls! ⭐🖼️

Dear Vista Lakes All-Star Families,

🚨 Calling all All-Stars! 🚨

Our mascot, Cosmo the All-Star, has sent an urgent message from deep space:"Where is my galaxy?" 🌌

The School Spirit Run is coming up, and we need as many Vista Lakes students, families, staff members, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, neighbors, and even that family member who says they only run when chased to register as soon as possible! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Why the rush? Because the first school to reach 100 registrations wins a Popcorn Party! 🍿 And let's be honest... popcorn tastes even better when it's earned through school spirit.

⭐ Meet One of Our Newest Vista Lakes All Stars, Mandy Borkman! ⭐

Please join us in giving a warm Vista Lakes welcome to Mandy Borkman, our new School Psychologist! 🎉💙

Mrs. Borkman will be serving our students on Mondays and Tuesdays, and she is excited to be part of the Vista Lakes team that helps students grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Her passion for supporting children and helping them thrive makes her a wonderful addition to our All Star family! 🌟

❤️ What Mrs. Borkman enjoys most about working in schools is building meaningful relationships with students, helping them feel supported, valued, and confident. She loves helping students achieve success, develop resilience, and learn how to navigate challenges along the way.

🏡 When she's not at school, Mrs. Borkman enjoys spending time with her family. She has been married for 25 years, has two children, and shares her home with a very energetic Boston Terrier who keeps life interesting! Her daughter is a sophomore at UCF, and her son is a sophomore at Winter Park High School.

✈️ Her hobbies include traveling, visiting theme parks, baking delicious treats, and, in her words, all things Harry Potter! ⚡🪄 We have a feeling she may know her way around Hogwarts almost as well as she knows her way around supporting students.

✨ Fun Fact: Mrs. Borkman is both an OCPS graduate and an Orlando native, making her a true hometown success story!

Please help us give a big Vista Lakes welcome to Ines Alvarez, our newest ESE Paraprofessional! 🎉💙

While this may be her first year as an official staff member, Ines is already a familiar face around campus. After spending nearly a year substituting at Vista Lakes, she is excited to trade in her substitute badge and officially become one of our Vista Lakes All Stars! ⭐

📚 Ines is currently enrolled at Valencia College and is passionate about working with students. What she enjoys most is getting to know each child as an individual and learning about their unique interests, personalities, and talents. She believes those connections help make school a place where everyone can thrive.

🎨 When she's not at school, Ines enjoys spending time with her family, playing the piano, and painting. She also has a cat named Stinky who has definitely earned the title of "Most Memorable Pet Name!" 🐱😄 With seven siblings, there's never a dull moment in her household!

Please help us welcome Gilberto De Jesus, better known as Mr. G, to the Vista Lakes Elementary family! 🎉💻

Mr. G is our TSR (Technology Service Representative), also known as the person we'll all be looking for when a computer won't cooperate, a device decides to take a surprise nap, or technology simply has a mind of its own! 😄

With experience supporting schools in the East Orlando area, including Bonneville Elementary and East Lake Elementary, Mr. G is now bringing his knowledge and expertise to Vista Lakes Elementary and Eagle Creek Elementary. He is excited about this new chapter and is committed to helping ensure that our students, teachers, and staff have the technology they need to succeed.

🔧 When he's not busy fixing computers and electronic devices, Mr. G enjoys working on electronics and has a unique hobby: painting cars! Talk about someone who knows how to make things look and work their best!

When she's not supporting students, Mrs. Albarran stays busy with her wonderful family. Please help us give a warm Vista Lakes welcome to Mrs. Shari Bigenho, who is joining our team as an ESE Paraprofessional in our Autism Unit! 🎉

Mrs. Bigenho brings a wealth of experience to our school, having worked in education since 1990 and even serving as a high school math teacher. That's more than three decades of helping students learn, grow, and succeed! 📚➕✨

When she's not supporting students, Mrs. Bigenho enjoys spending time with her family. She has been married for 42 years, is the proud mother of two daughters, and loves being "Grandma" to her three granddaughters. ❤️

One of the things she enjoys most about working in schools is watching students grow and develop each year. Seeing their progress and celebrating their successes is what makes the work so rewarding.

🏡 Fun Fact: Mrs. Bigenho doesn't just work at Vista Lakes... she actually lives in the Vista Lakes community! Talk about being an All Star both at school and in the neighborhood!
