School is almost back in session! 🎉 Be sure to check out the August calendar and mark your calendars for Meet the Teacher (August 6) and the First Day of School (August 11). Here’s to a fantastic year ahead for our Deerwood Eagles! 💙🦅

We are aiming to streamline our school events calendar. While August looks a little quiet, Meet the Teacher (8/6) and the first day of school (8/11) are HUGE events!

Moving forward, we hope to get this out to families by the 15th of the previous month so everyone has time to plan ahead. Thank you to Deerwood Elementary PTA for helping organize these calendars!

FREE summer meals available for children 18 years old or younger at many OCPS schools and some community centers. No application, no requirements. Just show up during the meal times posted online. Typically, breakfast is 8-9 and lunch 11:30-12:30 Monday through Thursday, but all sites have different hours and some are open on Friday. For more info -

Summer BreakSpot Food Service Program – Florida kids count on Summer BreakSpot for meals when school is out. When school is out, routines change. Summer BreakSpot is here with reliable access to no-cost meals and snacks for kids and teens 18 and under throughout the summer months.
