April

Wednesday, April 1st is Hop for Haiti

Information went home Monday regarding Hop for Haiti. It is a fundraiser helping provide fresh water and resources to schools in Haiti. The children will begin hopping with their classes starting at 9:00.

We have a great team of “counters” from Grace Covenant who will be counting all the hops. It’s always fun to see who the Top Hopper will be in the school as well as each class. It’s a fun experience for our children and a blessing to children in Haiti.

Thursday, April 2nd are class Easter Parties

Sign up sheets are by each classroom door for goodies to bring. Please remember to bring a basket or bag for your child to gather eggs with. No PEANUTS or CHOCOLATE in eggs donated for each class egg hunt please.

Friday, April 3rd we will be CLOSED for Good Friday

We wish you a blessed Easter.

Friday, April 10th, class Progress Reports go home.

Progress Reports are only for K2, K3, and VPK classes

Friday, April 24th is our Annual Art Festival

Our Art Show will be from 3:00 – 5:45. Please come and enjoy the artwork your child(ren) have created; they will be so excited for you to see. You may be surprised at their talent!

Additionally, during April Summer Attendance forms will be put in each child’s folder. Please be sure to turn your child’s form in by the date requested. The teachers enjoy some time away during the summer and I need to plan accordingly.

Also, cap and tassel’s will be ordered for our VPK children in April. More information will follow in your child’s folder.

It is very important that you return your Thanksgiving Attendance paper to the office no later than this Friday, November 14th so that I can properly staff the school for that week.

Just a quick note regarding Chapel for the K3 and VPK classes this week. Mrs. Sheryl will not be able to hold chapel this week. She misses everyone and expects to resume next Thursday, November 6th.

Friday is the Pumpkin Parade. There is a sign on the door as a reminder. Please have your child dressed and in their classroom before 9:00 a.m. You may find your spot out in the courtyard. The babies will lead the parade, with each class following by age. All groups will stop on the patio of Conway Hall for a class picture, then go back to their classrooms for their parties.

Please remember to bring in a complete change of clothes, including appropriate shoes. Also, the weather is expected to be chilly to start so make sure a light sweater or jacket is available when they change from their costumes.

If you have signed up to bring a goodie to share for the class parties, please bring it to class tomorrow, and no later than Thursday afternoon. Friday will be extremely busy and exciting and we don’t want to miss anything!

Family is invited; be sure to bring your camera or phone to catch the cuteness that will be happening!

We are excited to see you all on Friday!
