The threat of disruptive weather has passed Orange County. All schools and district offices will be open Monday, August 31. You should anticipate continued wet conditions and possible transportation delays. Thank you for your patience and attention.

PTO sold school spirit t-shirts and polos during Meet the Teacher and hundreds of families took advantage of our early sales. Weren't able to pick up a shirt? Don't worry! You can return the school spirit shirt order form to your child's teacher at any time! T-shirts are $10, and are available in gold and purple. Polo shirts are only $15, and are available in gold, purple or grey.

Meet the Teacher was a tremendous SUCCESS! We had over 700 families visit Millennia this evening and can't want to see more faces on the first day of school on Monday, August 24!

We are so proud of our amazing Principal!

Anne Lynaugh, principal of Millennia Elementary, graduated from the prestigious Commissioner’s Leadership Academy. Ms. Lynaugh was selected as one of the 50 highest performing principals in the state to participate in the Academy designed and coordinated through a partnership with the Council for Educational Change. The yearlong experience enabled Ms. Lynaugh to build on her successes and influence the leadership of colleagues at the local and state levels.

Are you thinking about what to do this summer with your children? Well, come to the next Parent Academy on Saturday, May 17! We’ll give you lots of great ideas for activities and resources and you can also hear a great keynote speaker. Best of all, your children will have fun while reinforcing what they learned in school this year.

Bring the whole family to the Parent Academy at Olympia High school from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 17. It’s free, lunch is included, AND child care is provided for children ages 4 to 12.

Registration is required. To register, you can call 407.317.3200 x2823 or 407-317-3200 x2575. The registration form is online at parentacademy.ocps.net or at the main office of your child’s school, or You may also register on-site, the day of the Parent Academy. We look forward to seeing you there!
