Our Fall Book Fair is coming, and we would love your help! If you’re interested in volunteering, please sign up using the link below. All volunteers must sign up through the volunteer form AND update their ADDITIONs profiles for the 2026-2027 school year before volunteering. 💚🐾

⏰ Volunteer Commitment: Volunteers are kindly asked to commit to their entire scheduled shift, as we have multiple classes shopping during these times and need consistent support throughout the shift. Thank you for helping us keep things running smoothly!

📖 A Special Note for Families:
Parent Shopping Night is Tuesday, September 15th from 4:30–6:00 PM. This is the only opportunity for parents/guardians to shop the Book Fair with their child, so be sure to mark your calendar! 🛍️📚

🎓💙 We celebrated College Colors Day a little early at Eagle Creek Elementary! Since Picture Day is tomorrow, we moved the celebration up—our students and staff showed off their favorite college colors with plenty of school spirit!

💕 This Friday: Pink & Pages for Dolly 📖

Like so many around the world, we’re heartbroken by the loss of Dolly Parton — a music icon who also helped generations of children discover a love of reading.

Dolly understood what we see in our classrooms every day: reading can open doors, spark imaginations and change lives. That’s why this Friday, Aug. 28, we’re turning OCPS PINK in her honor!

Students, teachers, staff, families and our community are invited to wear pink and spend at least 10 minutes reading.

Through her Imagination Library, Dolly helped put more than 300 million books into the hands of children around the world, including right here in Orange County.

So grab something pink, pick up a book and turn a few pages for Dolly. And be sure to DM us your Pink & Pages pics tomorrow!

We are getting ready to start our Eagle Creek Music Club Season! Interested students in 3rd-5th grades are invited to audition for one of our three Panther Performers Groups: Fall Chorus, Fall Orff, or Spring Musical (soon to be announced). If your student is interested in trying out for Chorus, Orff or the Musical- PLEASE SAVE THIS DATE FOR AUDITIONS!

Third-grade readers are building fluency and confidence through partner reading! 📚As they explore animal disguises, students are practicing how to annotate key details and deepen their understanding of the text. We love seeing our Panthers learn and grow together! 💚🐾
