Hates:

What’s your favorite part of the job: .
I absolutely love the challenging parts of the job: performing under pressure, remembering a bunch of orders, being 5 deep and explaining to someone "what we have that's good," drowning on service explaining to servers they don't need to modify 86 rocks/sub ice, double-checking that this Dewar's mojito isn't a mistype, and trying to figure out what a Bacardi $PINA Special Prep: lite ice means, until suddenly it's an hour to close. It's so fun and once you and your coworkers get into your groove, it's such a beautiful thing to witness, on either side of the bar. It's stressful at the time, but once you're on the other side of it you have some great stories, better laughs, and you got paid to do it.
What’s your desert island cocktail:
Either a classic daiquiri or a New York Sour. I go through cycles of new favorites and the New York sour tops that list right now.
What’s your quarantine cocktail:
Mules! My favorite super sweet recipe is below:
We made some honey simple from local honey to help calm these allergies (about 1:1 ratio)
2oz Captain Morgan
Squeeze 1/2 lime
About .5oz of the honey simple
Shake with ice
Strained into a mug filled with crushed ice. Top with ginger beer
