The purpose of our school is to provide an intellectually nurturing learning environment; to enable its students to reach their maximum potential in all subject areas; and to provide a high quality school choice option to the community. Every student will achieve their personal success and become a responsible and productive citizen of our community. We will work collaboratively to ensure all students succeed. Placing the highest priority on high quality instruction will support consistent student achievement. Thus, all students will attain improved performance levels annually, as measured by county, state and national assessments. To achieve its objectives, our school provides students with innovative college and career ready curricula. We use a variety of student assessment methods and school climate surveys. We consistently participate in district and statewide assessment programs in order to evaluate the effectiveness of its teaching and learning processes and to improve the school environment. Assessment feedback contributes to improved student self-esteem, self-control, group process skills, and cooperative learning strategies. Our school has high expectations of its students both academically and socially. In addition, we aim to develop student awareness of local and community needs as well as an understanding of national and global issues.

Ms. Ratani had her students taking 7th grade math engage in error analysis. Better to build up those critical thinking skills. No wonder we can, our 6th and 7th graders taking 7th grade math already crushed the testing with 66% proficiency on PM1 compared to the state at only 24% and the district at 13%. Great job challenging our Orcas! ✏️

OUR FIRST MIDDLE SCHOOL FLL MEETING WAS A SUCCESS! From parents attendance, to delicious snacks, beautiful team-building and everything in between. The information session answered all questions, the teams are hyped and excited to see what this year holds and now the students are building their missions!!! Scrimmage is in October! Team A is Cyber Bricks and Team B is Tech-No-Logic! Ms. Younes and Ms. Bhiro are so proud of our orcas!
