Marched in both parades last weekend with the Eskamani team, then did a clean up with them this morning. I don’t really know how to campaign, but I do know how to show up and put in the work 💪 I started a new IG: to separate my community work from my deeper initiative as a candidate to be an official representative, so follow if you want to be part of that journey. Running for Orange County Commissioner of District 3 🤓 gonna start canvassing for petitions soon, but keep me posted on any volunteer opportunities in the community.

I started writing these chalk messages for the kids in my neighborhood who were being harassed for coming down our public streets. A couple middle school girls on scooters were injured after someone dug a trench at the end of my street. Then, two (middle aged white) men on separate streets, approached Hispanic elementary school kids and told them to stay off our private road, which is in fact public. One on Kaley made a child walk back off. After people got up in arms about me saying welcome and have a good day or drawing flowers, I started to write some of my perspectives. They went through all of them and put oil or something on my street, then complained to Orange County regarding “graffiti” 🤣 the night before I put the only two options I’m interested in and they made a slide saying I was threatening them lol. Emily Bonilla stepped in and said I was just stating two of the options.
Agnes Heights, where the worst crime we have is chalk art and kids walking down the street 🤦♀️

My Orlando is not about walls, but coexisting. We live in one of the safest neighborhoods on the skirts of Downtown, so there is no justification for closing public walkways which people want and need in fences that already shouldn’t be here.
If you can, please comment or message me your email address if you’re willing to reply all to an email and make your voice heard. It would mean everything to me.
I’m also looking for additional speakers.
If you haven’t seen the posts before this, this is an overview:

If you haven’t signed/shared the petition, please do. Most importantly if you haven’t commented your opinion, PLEASE do. Even if you’ve signed, you can go back and comment:

This is now a national conversation, so even if you aren’t in Orlando, you can still help advocate for safe community access for our most vulnerable travelers.
The vote takes place 11/28 at 2 pm🙏

Can you all please take a moment to support something that literally hits home for me? This is regarding my street and streets next to me.
Can you spare a minute to help Delila Smalley?
2 signatures are still needed! Remove Fences and Build Community

Finally having some time to work on my website! Thank you, Orlando, for the overwhelming support as I returned to doing events last fall. It has been great to see all of you, and I’m looking forward to getting out there more this year! 🌱I revamped my entire pottery studio, my workshop, and expanded my glass production ✨

Turned my relax time with Queen’s Gambit into production time this weekend 🌱 I’ll be stocking up Market On South tomorrow with various terrariums, bullet necklaces, and gemstone pieces. If you haven’t seen the show, do yourself a favor. If you have any favorite shows, get at me. Been looking for something new✨

One of the beautiful things about my handmade pottery is that it can go in the oven 🔥 time to crack open those baking skills and that crème brûlée recipe 🤗

I haven’t done any events all year, which is a big change for me. I have been making strides on my website though and making work in my home studio. I’ll be dropping these impressionistic stoneware bowls off later today at to stock up my space. They’re dishwasher, microwave, and oven safe. All thrown by hand, glazed, and fired by me 🌊
