Acting Tip #5. It's not as easy as it looks. I've said this before and will keep saying it. Show biz careers can be like a bad relationship, when its good there is nothing better and when it's bad there's nothing worse. So why keep doing it?
My best answer. It calls to you.
A creative endeavor is similar to what athletes call being in the "zone". When in the "zone" ball players can only see the game, the score, the opponent. A roaring crowd, a bad call by a ref, that is simply part of playing in their calling.
A creative while making a project happen is very much the same. Now you may wonder what this has to do with acting not being as easy as it looks. Ever want to play ball after watching pro's play? We find out how skilled we are at the first side lot tackle. it is not as easy as it looks.
Acting Tip #5 It, acting, IS not as easy as it looks but If it calls to you, make it happen. There is nothing better than living a well thought through calling. Live it, pursue it and stay the course.
Oh and if people outside the zone are telling you or others what they think you should be doing, you're on the right road. 🙂
