Happy September! 🙂 I hope everyone has loved their first month of school. Remember that it will take time for teachers/admin/school support staff to get the kinks together. With that being said:

Our mission has always been clear: to provide quality educational services for ALL. Whether you’ve been with us from the start or have recently joined our tutoring family, you know that our focus is on crafting meaningful and effective learning experiences. Over the years, both Ryan and I have worked our way up from the humblest of positions to roles where we could make a difference.

Through all of this, we’ve learned that no matter how hard we try, we can’t always make everyone happy—and that’s okay. What matters most is that we continue to listen, learn, and grow.

That’s why, whenever I meet with parents, the first thing I say is how important your feedback is. If there’s ever a moment where you feel a session didn’t quite meet your expectations, please know that your voice matters.

It’s a team effort, and I am only human. Nothing in this life—or any tutoring session—will ever be perfect. Our sessions might not be for every student, but that’s okay. What makes us unique is our commitment to communication and to always putting the student first.I’m so grateful to the families who have been with us from the very beginning and those who’ve joined us along the way. Your feedback, support, and understanding have helped shape this journey. Thank you for believing in us and for being an essential part of this incredible community.

I want to address an important matter that has been affecting both our tutoring and cooking sessions. Lately, we’ve encountered issues with scheduling where some parents request open availability but do not follow through with a commitment. As a small business, this directly impacts our finances, as my family and I are the sole investors in our operations. Additionally, this lack of commitment limits the number of sessions I can offer, which ultimately affects my ability to provide for my family.

Your understanding and cooperation are crucial. Please, take the time to check your messages and emails regularly. Communication is vital to ensure that everything runs smoothly and that your child receives the quality education they deserve.

As we move forward, I am taking steps to protect our business and improve our services by implementing the following new policies:

1.Punctuality:
If your student is more than 15 minutes late, you will still be expected to pay for the session. Time is valuable, and it is essential that we make the most of it.

2.Parental Presence for Younger Students:
If your student is in elementary school, YOU MUST STAY WITH YOUR CHILD during the session. This is not a babysitting service, and the safety of your child is our top priority.

3.Commitment to Sessions:
If your student is unable to sit for the allotted time, payment will still be expected as discussed. Each session is carefully planned, and I purchase all necessary materials in advance.

I appreciate your respect and understanding of these policies. My goal is to provide the best possible experience for your children while also ensuring that our business remains sustainable. Thank you for your continued support.

🌟 A Splash of Color: Art Meets Science in the Classroom!🎨

Today, our young artist took a colorful journey into the world of mixing colors and motor skills! Armed with blue and yellow, he discovered the magic of color theory. As his brushes danced across the canvas, blue and yellow swirled together, creating a beautiful green right before their eyes! The excitement in the room was electric—it's not every day you get to witness a child learning that two colors can come together to form something entirely new!

But the fun didn’t stop there! To take things up a notch, he dove into a hands-on project with tissue paper. Little hands carefully tore pieces of tissue paper, strengthening their fine motor skills. Then, using water as a medium, he painted the paper onto his artwork, creating textures and patterns that added depth to his masterpiece.

By combining art with a bit of science, he not only learned how colors mix but also got to express his creativity in a tangible way. Cheers to a lesson where learning was as colorful and joyful as the art itself! 🎉

Dear Families,

As we approach the new school year, I want to take a moment to emphasize the importance of self-care and the power of resetting for a fresh start. Taking time to care for ourselves is crucial in maintaining balance, energy, and a positive mindset. It's a way to recharge and prepare ourselves for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

To ensure that I am fully ready to support you all on the first day of school, I will be taking some time to rest and reset. Therefore, I will be closed until Sunday. I encourage you to also take this weekend to relax, refresh, and prepare yourselves for the exciting journey that awaits.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend, and I look forward to seeing you all ready to start the school year with enthusiasm and determination.

https://miro.com/ is a great resource (FREE) that I use online for my virtual students. This is an example of my whiteboard for a Pre-Algebra student working on solving systems of linear equations.

You can sign-up from more access to tools as well as share the whiteboard through email for multiple access and save your work. Also, you can use an unsaved whiteboard up to 24 hours.
