These activities give student a chance to be creative and have fun while giving them the opportunity to practice key reading skills. Research has indicated that making words out of letters helps students identify spelling patterns and improves decoding strategies. Making up words activities are also a great addition to phoneme instruction and teaching word families.

My newest class. So excited to teach some littles!

Halloween Animals: Creepy Critters | Small Online Class for Ages 4-7 In this one-time class, students will learn about some creepy critters that are associated with Halloween.

After some crazy weeks, I have finally scheduled some great classes on Outschool.

Marvelous Mammals of Florida: Aquatic & Semi-aquatic | Small Online Class for Ages 7-11 In this one-time course, students will be introduced to some of the marvelous mammals that call Florida waterways home.

If you have littles, this class is a great way to get them learning while having some Christmas fun! Students will learn a few interesting facts about some of Santa's animal neighbors. They even learn how Rudolph's nose glows! At the end of class, I also share a recipe for some magical reindeer food.

Santa's Arctic Animal Friends | Small Online Class for Ages 4-7 In this one time class, students will learn about some of Santa's animal friends at the North Pole and how to make a magical treat for Santa's reindeer.

Calling all bear lovers! My favorite class to teach is coming up later this morning. Looking forward to introducing some kiddos to the incredible North American Black Bear. If you know anyone whose kiddos may be interested, class starts at 11 am EDT.

North American Black Bears for Beginners Part 1 | Small Online Class for Ages 8-12 In this one-time class, students will be introduced to the smart and curious North American black bear.

Math Puzzles Club for Upper Elementary Students (3rd, 4th, & 5th Grade) | Small Online Class for Ages 9-12 In this ongoing math club, we will use math puzzles to practice problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

So excited to say that I have added two new ONGOING classes!!! Students can register for one class, a few classes, or take them all. Hoping to add a Math Puzzles Club later today.

Let's Talk Numbers - Upper Elementary Students | Small Online Class for Ages 9-12 In this ongoing class, students will learn to love numbers and will gain confidence with mental math by talking about numbers in fun and engaging ways.

I just requested a new listing with Outschool - Let's Learn About Dogs: Groups & Breeds. Keeping my fingers crossed that it is accepted without having to make changes. This will be my first multi-week course. I'm so excited!
