Another family served. IEP secured. This was a tough one. The case was riddled with federal code violations, which created months of undue delay. But the family brought me on board mid-April, and here we are. I cannot say enough about the 12 year old young lady this IEP will serve. She attended every single meeting (we’ve had 4). And she was stronger and more poised than most adults. I’ve never seen anything quite like it. And yall…she wants to be an attorney. I wouldn’t want to sit across the courtroom from her. This child is going to move mountains.

Another successful IEP meeting! The family left with signed parental consent to evaluate and an accelerated timeline of 7 days to return eligibility determination (vs the standard 60). Ask me how!

Middle school and high school cohorts launch April 7. Space limited.

If your middle or high schooler is bright but:

• starts homework and projects late
• forgets to submit assignments
• fails to write down test dates
• does not double-check work
• insists they “don’t have anything due”
• becomes overwhelmed when projects pile up
• "refuses" to use a planner, timers or set reminders

..the issue is usually not intelligence or motivation.

It’s executive function.

Many students have never been explicitly taught how to manage school successfully.

That’s why I created The Studio ADHD Project.

A diagnostic and prescriptive executive function program designed for middle and high school students who are capable but struggling to manage the demands of school.

This is not tutoring. This is not coaching.

This is SKILL DEVELOPMENT.

Students learn to:

• Track assignments and deadlines
• Plan and manage their workload
• Break large projects into manageable chunks
• Understand time-blindness and reverse engineer timelines
• Simplify systems
• Develop routines that work for their unique brains
• Reduce last-minute panic

Students are not simply getting help with homework — they are learning and practicing the skills required to manage school independently in real time.

Program details:
April 7 - April 30, 2026

• 4-week executive function intensive
• Two sessions per week (8 total sessions)
• Highly personalized and selective small cohort
• Limited to just four students

Sessions are twice per week, so students can practice the systems we introduce and reinforce them with built-in accountability. The bi-weekly structure helps solidify new habits.

DM to schedule a consultation and learn if our program is right for your student.

Over the past several years working with families navigating school challenges, one pattern shows up again and again.

Students who are:

• bright
• capable
• verbally strong
• curious and engaged in conversation

Yet they struggle to manage school.

Assignments slip through the cracks.
Projects pile up.
Work starts late at night.
Parents become the “reminder system.”

This isn’t usually about intelligence or motivation.

More often, it’s about executive function — the systems students use to plan, organize, and follow through on their work.

The challenge is that most schools assume these skills are already in place.

Many students were never actually taught them.

More soon.

Quick question for parents of high schoolers and middle schoolers...
What happens most in your house?

A. Your kid says they don't have any homework, when they actually do.
B. Your kid has multiple missing assignments in Canvas.
C. Your kid starts a long-term project the day or week before it is due.
D. Your kid performs poorly on a test because they forgot to study, or didn't even know there was a test that day.
E. Can't choose. My kid does all of these!

Schools teach the what.

But who teaches the how?

More soon.

Feel like something's missing?

If your middle or high schooler is smart, but:

• Can't remember instructions and ignores grading rubrics
• Forgets to submit assignments
• Fails to double-check work
• Does not write down test dates
• Procrastinates until the last minute and spirals

This is not a motivation problem.

It’s an executive function problem.

And most schools don’t explicitly teach these skills.

Something new is coming soon for families dealing with this.
