Students from grades K-3 can come to local library on West Colonial near Marshall this summer for some individualized learning. With reading I focus on ( phonics, blending words, decoding, reading fluency and reading comprehension.) For math, I review the skills from the previous year or focus on the skills the child did not master during the present school year. Come work one on one with Mrs. Jerome-Severe

3:30 to 6pm
Fridays 10am to 5pm

The school year 2022 is almost over, but your child is still two to three years behind in grade level and most likely being promoted into the next grade. Any child so far back tries closing the gap for those years, and this process can be frustrated for children and parents. For any child to complete such a big gap, they have to learn every essential skill they lack each year. Learning to read is like climbing a ladder, and one step guides you to the next step. Starting a business to help children struggling in school with reading and math can be challenging because it seems like everyone is doing the same thing. But when you take a student from reading CVC (consonant vowel consonant) words from Kindergarten level to 2nd-grade reading level. Then I know I have helped a future doctor, lawyer, teacher, or even a president. Because his teacher works at my school, I am continuously checking on his reading ability. This extraordinary experience took place from last July 2020 until May 2021. I am still working with him this Summer. I can not wait to see how he will do next year when he goes to 4th grade.
