Do you ever feel like your personality disappears when you have to speak English? 😩

You're not alone! So many of us worry about grammar, tone, and saying the "wrong" thing when meeting new people. Instead of feeling excited to connect, you might start overthinking every word, pause, and tiny mistake. It's like your whole personality just hits the pause button.

The good news? You don't have to keep holding back!

In this video, we're sharing 3 powerful mindset shifts to help you make a strong first impression in English without feeling fake or awkward. We’ll show you how to:

✅ Focus on connection, not perfection. People remember how you made them feel, not your grammar.
✅ Stay curious instead of trying to guess every cultural rule. Being open beats being perfect every time.
✅ Use your tone and body language to speak louder than your words. The energy you bring is what people respond to.

It seems like it’s always those tiny mistakes that make a huge impact on how fluent you sound. While you’ll always hear us say that grammar shouldn’t be your only focus… that doesn’t mean you should throw out the rule book entirely.
🩵Grammar is important in the same way that rules are important to playing card games.
When you follow the rules, everything flows smoothly, and you don’t need to stop and think about every single move. The same goes for English! Getting rid of those small mistakes helps you communicate more naturally without second-guessing yourself.
🩵It’s all about getting used to the FEELING of how sentences should be structured. (Rather than needing to constantly THINK about the rules)
Eventually, you’ll have a more accurate ear for things that “sound wrong”.
These habits are tough to break, but once you do, your confidence and fluency will skyrocket. 🚀

Swipe through to catch some of the most common mistakes we hear, and learn how to fix them so you can sound more fluent and feel more comfortable in every conversation!

🩵We all make mistakes- even native speakers!🩵
The difference is that most of us don’t even notice them, because the goal isn’t perfection- it’s connection. If you’re learning English and find yourself constantly worrying about getting every word or phrase just right, take a breath. Remember that even native speakers stumble over our words, forget things mid-sentence, and say the wrong thing sometimes. Fluency isn’t about flawless speech. It’s about feeling comfortable expressing yourself (mistakes and all). Be kind to yourself. Every mistake is just part of the learning process.

Fear or dreams ✨ Which one is driving your decisions?

When fear takes the wheel, every move is about avoiding mistakes. You shrink yourself, stay in your comfort zone, and second-guess everything. You turn down opportunities because they feel too risky, and you constantly worry about what others might think.

But when your dreams are in control, your actions look different. You’re no longer playing small or letting fear of judgment hold you back. You say ‘yes’ to growth, even when it scares you. Every challenge becomes a chance to get closer to your goals. You take the risk because you know your dreams are worth it.

🗣 Stop Making These Common ESL Mistakes!

Are you translating directly from your native language? Or maybe your English sounds a little too stiff and textbook-like? 🤔

💡 Here’s how to fix it:

🚫 “Can you explain me this?”
✅ “Can you explain this to me?”

🚫 “It is very important to learn English.”
✅ “Learning English is super important!”

✨ Native speakers use natural phrasing & contractions—so should you!
