As we wrap up an incredible school year here at Northlake Park Community School, we are preparing to say a bittersweet goodbye to one of our absolute heroes.

After more than three amazing years of keeping our campus safe, smiling, and secure, Officer Christopher Perez is moving on to new adventures at the high school level next year! 🚀

Principal Archie and the entire Buck family want to extend our deepest gratitude to Officer Perez. Thank you for your unwavering dedication, your daily high-fives, and for always protecting our NLP community. You have made a lasting impact on our students and staff, and you will be dearly missed! 🦌✨

Oh, what a feeling! A massive CONGRATULATIONS to the incredible House of Amistad for officially winning our school-wide House Competition for the 2025-2026 school year! 👑✨

Today, our Amistad champions celebrated their big victory in style with a massive recess party, complete with epic bounce houses and endless smiles! Mrs. Archie and the entire staff are incredibly proud of the hard work, teamwork, and kindness these students demonstrated all year long.

Every single Buck worked hard this year, but Amistad truly brought the magic! ❤️

Reading is a superpower, and we definitely love reading here at NLP! Over the past few days, Northlake Park Community School has been buzzing with excitement as we celebrated all of our amazing Accelerated Reader (AR) participants!

From our youngest readers hitting their personal goals to our upper grades crushing massive milestones, our Bucks have been turning pages like crazy this year.

🍦 We’re Screaming for Our Millionaire Readers! 📚✨
Yesterday was an absolute treat for some of our hardest-working Bucks! We officially celebrated our incredible Millionaire Readers—the amazing students who read over one million words this year through Accelerated Reader (AR).

To celebrate this massive milestone, Principal Mrs. Archie and our superstar readers took a sunny stroll over to Bacio Ice Cream for a well-deserved sweet treat! 🍨🕶️

We are so incredibly proud of the dedication, focus, and love for reading these students have shown. They proved that hard work tastes sweet!

Looking Ahead to Next Year...
Our pages are already turning to the next school year, and we have a big goal. We want to celebrate at least 25 Millionaire Readers next time around! We know our Bucks can do it. 💪🦉

🎨 Ink-credible Growth in 3rd Grade! 🐾
Check out the "new look" for one of our amazing 3rd-grade teachers, Mrs. Brao!

To celebrate our progress on the ELA and Math FAST testing, Mrs. Brao made a bold promise: any student who showed growth on their tests got to add a temporary tattoo to her "collection!" ⚓️🦋🚀

We are beyond thrilled to report that EVERY single student in her class showed growth today! Because our Bucks worked so hard to improve their scores, Mrs. Brao’s arms and legs are now officially covered in colorful temporary tattoos.

The students made sure to skip her face, though, because they all agreed "she's too pretty for that!" Mrs. Archie and the entire Northlake Park Community School family are so proud of these students for their focus and determination. It’s a great day to be a part of the OCPS network!

Way to go, 3rd grade! You proved that hard work pays off! 🦌💨
