“Supporting the future of the jewelry industry means investing in the people who will sustain it.” ~Scott Murphy, CEO.
✨And invest they did! SCAD is proud to introduce the Jewelers Mutual Studio (formerly Fahm Hall) reimagined through a historic $10 million, 10-year partnership between SCAD and Jewelers Mutual.
This transformative partnership promises to change the lives of so many Bees and the entire jewelry profession, now growing four times faster than any other luxury sector! More elite resources, more scholarships, and more SCAD brilliance in the talent pipeline. The future of the jewelry industry is in very good hands. 💪

Thank you for all the beautiful messages, notes, calls, flowers, and birthday love. How fortunate I am to live this wondrous life surrounded by generous hearts, kind words, and people who believe in one another’s dreams. 🩷
We are all the ages we have ever been. I see myself in the joy of SCAD students and in the SCAD alumni who are welcoming new babies, and in the ambition, perseverance, and determination of SCAD artists, inventors, and company founders. Thank you for sharing your lives with me, and for making SCAD magical everyday. ✨
Over the years, I’ve had the joy of welcoming extraordinary guests to “On Creativity”—artists whose work has shaped culture and inspired audiences across generations. So many arrive at SCAD and say the very same thing: “I wish I had gone to school here.” 💫

You’ll laugh, they’ll cry. Something so wrong has never been so right.🐊⏰
The SCAD School of Film and Acting presents “Peter Pan Goes Wrong,” playing through this weekend, May 22-24 at the Lucas Theatre.
Brace yourselves for an awfully big adventure when the inept and accident-prone Cornley Drama Society sets out to present J.M. Barrie’s beloved classic, “Peter Pan,” their most audacious production to date. What ensues is two acts of hysterical disaster, flying mishaps, and cast disputes. Will they ever make it to Neverland?

SCAD FASHION 2026 transformed the SCAD Museum of Art courtyard into a sartorial dreamland of style and splendor. ✨
From first walk to final flourish, our Bees unveiled collections shimmering with virtuosity, glamour, and imagination—affirming once again that the future of fashion debuts at SCAD. 💖💫🐝
Happy 42nd “Bee-Day” to SCAD’s one and only Art T. Bee! 🐝🎉
Introduced in May 1984, Art the Bee buzzed onto the scene just as SCAD’s athletic teams were taking flight. Over the years, our beloved mascot has metamorphosized—from retro stripes to the sleek, stylized look we know today.
I chose the bee to represent SCAD because, according to physics, bees shouldn’t be able to fly—their bodies too big, their wings too small. The math, science tells us, doesn’t math...but they fly anyway (as high as Mount Everest, even!), defying the odds, just like SCAD. In the university’s early days, a few doubted SCAD’s ability to fly skyward, looking askance at our SCAD mission to prepare students for creative professions by braiding imagination and invention with business acumen and an entrepreneurial spirit.
But fly we did and do! Higher and higher every day. SCAD became the world’s biggest and best university for creative pros. The spirit of Art the Bee, that odds-defier, bee-longs to all of us at SCAD! How fitting that Art’s birthday falls on World Bee Day. Here’s to 42 years of defying expectations and flying ever upward. We love you, Art! 💛🖤💛
