Are you curious about the difference between PTA and Hero Fund ?

The PTA helps bring our school community together through family events, celebrations, and experiences that make school extra special! The PTA creates opportunities for our Hillcrest Heroes to connect, celebrate, and make memories.

The Hero Fund focuses on supporting our students and teachers through academic enrichment and resources. Your contributions help provide teacher grants, technology & equipment.

Two different purposes. One BIG goal: supporting every Hillcrest Hero!

When you support the PTA and the Hero Fund, you’re helping make a difference in the everyday experiences and education of our students.

The books are open, the adventure has begun, Hillcrest Heroes are reading—come join the fun!

During the Read-A-Thon, our students are showing their HERO SPIRIT by working together to reach two BIG school-wide goals:

📚 80,000 reading minutes
💰 $25,000 Hillcrest Hero Fund Donation Goal

🌎 WHY DOES THE HERO FUND MATTER?
The Hillcrest Hero Fund helps bridge the gap between what county budgets provide and what our classrooms need to thrive. These funds give Hillcrest the flexibility to provide additional classroom resources and support when needs arise—without placing that financial burden on our teachers and staff.

When you donate to the Read-A-Thon, you’re not just participating in a fundraiser – you’re directly impacting Hillcrest’s classrooms, teachers, and our STUDENTS! 💙

🌎 HOW CAN YOU HELP?
Once you’re logged into Beanstack, click “View Fundraiser,” then select “View Donation Page.” This will take you directly to your child’s personal Read-A-Thon donation page.

From there, share the page with grandparents, relatives, friends, neighbors, and coworkers and invite them to support your reader!

Every donation—big or small—helps move us closer to our $25,000 Hillcrest Hero Fund goal and supports our school.
