Lake Como School PTSA

Lake Como elementary school families are invited to join us for a final hurrah of the school year — our Luau dance party on Friday, May 15 in the school cafeteria from 5:30 to 7:30pm. Tickets are $5 per person (ages 3 and under are free) and all students must be accompanied by an adult. We hope you’ll join us in celebrating a wonderful school year and dancing our way toward summer!

Monday evening at 6pm is the final PTSA meeting of the school year! Come join us in the media center and hear about our plan to finish the school year strong 💪

NEXT WEEK (May 4-8) is Teacher Appreciation Week! Join us in spreading a little sunshine to our amazing teachers and staffulty who go above and beyond for our students. Even if it’s just a little note to let them know how they’ve impacted your student, we hope you’ll join us in showering them with appreciation ☀️

Another round of fundraising with our friends at Yum Yum Pops this Friday, come snag some for your crew!

Join us for another free family event—STEM Night on Thursday, March 26 @ 6PM! The evening will feature demonstrations from Mad Science Labs and a collection of critters from Gatorland, alongside Science Fair exhibits from our own Lake Como students AND MORE! Hope to see you there 🧬🔬🧪

Yum Yum Pops are back this Friday for a pre-Valentine’s treat! Don’t let the cool mornings fool you, the hot afternoons are always waiting for us and you can grab a popsicle after school by the Gore Street bike rack to cool down & support the PTSA. Happy early Valentine’s Day to you and your crew!

Save the date for the PTSA’s free movie night on the Lake Como lawn on Friday, Feb 27 @ 6pm! Bring your own dinner to picnic with your blankets/chairs and we’ll have free popcorn/cotton candy to enjoy while you watch Zootopia 2. We will also have an indoor area with remaining rummage sale donations where families can fill an entire bag with clothes for only $5. Can’t wait to see you all there!

Sign up for your Nifty 50 Papa John’s discount card and save money while you fundraise for the PTSA! Cards are $15 & allow you to enjoy 50% off all full price orders up to 18 times in 2026. Your last day to buy is Feb 20, and you can find the form in your student’s folder (reach out to your student’s teacher if you haven’t received a form). Top sellers get awards, so spread the word for your student to sell! 🍕

Clean out those closets and donate now to the PTSA rummage sale! The collection box will remain in the front office until Thursday, Jan 22 and we hope you’ll come find some new-to-you goods at our off-campus rummage sale on Jan 24, from 9-3pm near Curry Ford and Conway. All proceeds will go to the PTSA and be put toward upcoming free events!
