Right now, the pressure of the classroom is on pause, which makes it the absolute best time to map out a strategy for next year.
Gathering recent progress data and auditing your child's current IEP goals over the break ensures that accommodations are ready to be properly implemented on day one. A little proactive planning now prevents a lot of frustration in the fall.

From exhausted to empowered.
“...we were exhausted and desperate for help when navigating all the challenges we were facing at our daughter’s school. We felt our voice wasn’t being heard and the administration was failing her. Enter IEP and they assisted in so many ways to help us ask the right questions, push for change and hold the school accountable. Now our daughter is thriving and her love for school and learning has returned! Would highly recommend!”
Thank you Nicollé for such sweet and generous words. We are thrilled to help you get your voice back and help support your child in her new school. It was a bumpy road, but what an amazing and successful year it has been this year!
Having the right IEP, great collaboration with the school team, and everyone focused on your child's needs has been the key to success.

…But don't lose the progress you’ve worked so hard for.
The "Summer Slide" is a real concern for students with additional needs. Here are 3 quick tips to support your child over the break without it feeling like "summer school":
Keep a Visual Rhythm: Just because school is out doesn't mean structure has to be. Use a simple visual schedule for summer days. Predictability reduces anxiety and keeps those "executive functioning" muscles active.
Generalize Skills in the Real World: Use trips to the grocery store or the park to practice IEP goals. Whether it’s social greetings, money math, or following multi-step directions, "real world" practice is often more effective than a worksheet.
The 15-Minute Rule: Dedicate just 15 minutes a day to a high-priority goal (like reading or speech exercises). It’s enough to prevent regression but short enough to keep summer feeling like a vacation.
At IEP Partner, we believe summer is the perfect time to observe how your child learns best outside the classroom—valuable data we can use for your fall IEP update!

IEP goals don’t have to pause for summer.

Grab your data before it’s gone.
Schools often purge records over the summer, and you could lose access to critical progress data.
Collect your child’s IEP progress reports and service logs before the last day of school to stay informed.

To the moms navigating a world of appointments, additional needs and IEP binders: we see you.
Mother’s Day can feel complicated when you’re also your child’s primary advocate. Behind every breakthrough is a mother who refused to take "no" for an answer and who spent late nights researching strategies and early mornings prepping for meetings.
At IEP Partner, we understand that you aren't just looking for services; you’re looking for your child’s potential to be recognized. Our mission is to take some of that weight off your shoulders so you can focus on being "Mom" while we handle the "Advocate."
Today, we celebrate your strength and your heart. You are doing an incredible job. Happy Mother’s Day! 🌸

Communication is a right
It’s Deaf Awareness Week! We’re spotlighting the vital need for true communication access in the classroom.
In the US system, "access" is more than just being present. It means an IEP that prioritizes specialized instruction, assistive technology, and a language-rich environment—whether your child uses ASL, spoken language, or both.
At IEP Partner, we ensure the school provides more than just "support"; we fight for meaningful access that respects your child's whole identity.
