Happy New Year! I am now conducting 2025 evaluations! Evaluations are $30 for one child, and $20 for each additional child. I accept PayPal or Venmo. I'll send you a reminder message, an outline of what I'll need, and payment isn't due until after the phone call.

Are you new to homeschooling or know someone who is? I would love to help answer any questions you may have. I offer phone consults for $30 for up to 30 minutes. I can answer any homeschool law questions, help guide on different curriculum options, etc. Send me a message if you are interested in a consult.

We are heading into summer, when most evaluations are due. I would love to help your family this year! Most school districts will accept evaluations up to 6 weeks early. Send me a message if you'll need my help this summer and we can go ahead and get things started.

Did you know you can take pictures of unstructured play, nature exploration, and playing outside and use it for your portfolio? Playing outside can be counted as PE, Nature exploration is Science, etc.

Who needs to keep a portfolio?
Every student who is registered as a home education student.
All of the following students need to keep a portfolio:
- Home education students who use the portfolio as their annual evaluation
- Home education students who use another kind of annual evaluation
- Students registered with Florida Unschoolers or similar Umbrella school if it's not considered a private school and the student submitted a letter of intent to homeschool
- FLVS Flex students

What's required for a portfolio evaluation?
1. Educational Log
2. Books read
3. Samples of work

Evaluations are due yearly, based on when you initially submitted the letter of intent. For example, if you submitted the letter of intent on February 1st, your evaluation is due yearly on February 1st.

You only need to submit the letter of intent once. You have thirty days to submit the letter of intent once you begin homeschooling in Florida.

Did you know you can include field trips in your portfolio?
Take pictures of the various field trips your student goes on and include those in your portfolio as evidence of learning. Include a brief description of what your student learned. For example, my children went to the fire station and learned about fire safety, the different tools on the fire truck, and about what firefighters do to help others. This field trip is evidence of learning in social studies and a variety of other subjects.
