Hardest thing for young hitters is to stay consistent with their mechanics when they feel off.
Always look at your pitch selection, your approach, point of contact and timing before you decide that your mechanics needs to be adjusted.

I try to stay away from total reconstructions of hitters, although sometimes it’s necessary to do so. My main goal is to build on what you have, I don’t want to box hitters into thinking everyone has to swing the same way. Everyone has different skillsets and body movements. I want you to understand your own swing and be your own coach. Remember you’re the only one in that batter’s box!
