JROTC will not be attending the Veterans Day Parade this year. The event was canceled last Wednesday due to the hurricane and the possible effects it would have had on the arrangements with the school busses.

CANCELLED - DUE TO TROPICAL STORM NICOLE

East River HS is having a FREE Veterans Day Concert, Wednesday, November 9th at 1830 hrs (6:30pm), in the school's auditorium.

JROTC will be supporting the event with our esteem Color Guard, and we hope to meet our local veterans as our Cadets greet you with programs and provide you with an honorable es**rt to your seats to enjoy a night of jazz, patriotic selections and other pieces that will make you proud to be an American.

Our Cadets are in the process of raising money, so they can benefit from participating in, experiencing, and enjoying co-curricular events and activities that will demonstrate their attainment of lesson outcomes which can significantly impact the success of their futures.

These would include but are not limited to:
1. Military Ball
2. Veterans Day Parade
3. Staff Rides to The Navy Seals Museum,
Washington D.C., Fort Jackson, and The National Vietnam War Memorial
4. STEM-related trips (i.e. Escape Rooms)
5. Special Teams (i.e. Drill Team, Raider Team, Marksmanship, Orienteering)
6. And more

If you know an ACTIVE CADET, please reach out to them first and support them and their Battalion.

Looking for volunteers to participate in the Falcon Fly-In event on Wednesday, August 3rd. A great opportunity for volunteer hours, merits, and to recruit more JROTC cadets into our battalion. Remember, our goal for this school year is 260+ cadets. Our long-term goal is 300+.
