What an incredible professional development day! 💡✨

I had the opportunity to work with some of our dedicated 6th grade teachers who were eager to level up their tech skills. We took a deep dive into the latest AI tools and workflows—exploring Gemini, Gemini Notebook, Vibe Coding, Google Vids, and creating custom Gems to streamline learning and instruction.

The best part? Every teacher left today's session empowered and sporting new badges from the Google AI Educator Series! 🏅 Calling out their commitment to growing as educators and bringing innovative strategies into the classroom.

Internet access is essential for student success, but potential cuts to the Federal E-Rate program could impact discounts that local school districts rely on to stay connected. 💻📚

Programs like E-Rate help districts like Penn Manor keep broadband costs manageable so resources can stay where they belong—in the classroom. Cuts to this funding could create significant hurdles for digital learning and equity.

It’s amazing to see how AI is helping teachers and administrators save time and get creative.

Did you catch IN Focus on WGAL Channel 8 this past Sunday? 📺 I had the honor of being a guest to discuss a topic that impacts so many of our families and schools: the push to ban social media for kids 16 and under.

We had a great conversation, and I was so excited to share my Google Innovator Project, "Digital Smartkids." The goal is to educate our K-6 children about social media and digital citizenship early on, so they are prepared, safe, and smart when they eventually log on.
