Spiritual Reset- Day 17

Our verse today commemorates the day so well. Martin Luther King Jr. gave his life to help us understand that in God’s eyes, we are all equal.

So today, don’t let anyone discourage you. Don’t let anyone say you are less because of your race, your gender or your economic status. You are a new creation, a shining reflection of the image of a beautiful, good, and omnipotent God.

Colossians 3:9-12:

“…you have put off the old self with its habits and have put on the new self. This is the new being which God, its Creator, is constantly renewing in his own image, in order to bring you to a full knowledge of himself. As a result, there is no longer any distinction between Gentiles and Jews, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarians, savages, slaves, and free, but Christ is all, Christ is in all. You are the people of God”

Hi Friends! It’s been awhile! 👋

Sadly no, we don’t have a new podcast season coming up, but we are approaching another kind of new season: a new year! 💃🏼🎉

In January, many folks hit the reset button on how they treat their bodies, whether it’s eating better 🥙, exercising more 🤸‍♀️or drinking less 🍹🥴.

Oftentimes, our spiritual selves are overlooked. If the holidays have left you feeling drained, discouraged, or spiritually sapped, that’s ok! Me too! But a new year is here, and with it a new chance to refresh our perspectives and renew our spirits. 🙏🌅

Everyday in January I’ll be posting a story on the MMSD IG based on the above plan. Tune in to hear a scripture and a pep talk. :)

In the final episode, Sarah shares about the mental shift from victim to victorious, spiritually sick to spiritually healthy. It came from the gradual realization that there is no evil, no grief, no fear that can stand against a child of God. Armed with that understanding, everything changed.
