She has a bachelors degree in Music and has been teaching lessons since May of 2021. She started off teaching as the vocal and piano instructor with ASM Music Studios where she gained valuable experience and wonderful memories with students and fellow instructors! Song Bird Music is so named as a tribute to several of the
owner's loved ones. It is named after her grandparents on both sides of her family who were great lovers of music. Each grandparent has come to be represented as a different kind of bird; a male cardinal, a blue bird, and a yellow finch. The studio is also named after her mother, Heidi, who loved Great Blue Herons and was an excellent violinist, pianist, and singer. Once, when Heidi heard her daughter singing, she affectionately called her "little song bird." Heidi even began putting her own music lesson studio together in her final years, but was never able to start teaching. Song Bird Music is grateful to serve as a generational fulfillment of this musical endeavor, from one song bird to another.
