What’s next requires a different kind of leadership thinking. The next era of leadership won’t be defined by who reacts fastest to what’s directly in front of them. It will be defined by who is willing to look over the mountain. The World Economic Forum finds that the capabilities organizations need increasingly span both worlds—analytical thinking, leadership, creativity and resilience alongside technological literacy and AI.

That intersection is where the School of Technology Leadership and Innovation (STLI) lives. At the UCF's STLI, we’re interested in what’s happening now—but we're equally interested in what comes next.
- What will AI change about leadership?
- What remains uniquely human?
- Which emerging technologies are just beyond the horizon?
- And how do we prepare leaders and organizations before disruption arrives?

Human innovation and technological innovation cannot be separated. The future requires leaders who understand both—and a team with its hand on the pulse of what is emerging.

This week, we welcomed executive teams from Michaels and Pet Valu for a pilot session of UCF’s Leading Logistics and Supply Chain Optimization with AI. The workshop provided a valuable opportunity to connect industry leaders with UCF faculty experts from the UCF College of Engineering and Computer Science, the Institute for Simulation and Training, and the Barry S. Miller College of Business and explore practical ways organizations can harness AI and emerging technologies to address real-world supply chain challenges. We’re excited about the possibilities ahead as we continue bringing together technology, leadership, and innovation to help organizations navigate the future of AI.

For the 35th consecutive year, University of Central Florida hosted the AP Summer Institute last week. The 2026 cohort of AP teachers from throughout the United States and 15 foreign countries engaged in training by College Board-endorsed consultants on a wide range of subjects. Developed in partnership with the Florida Interactive Entertainment Academy, these workshops were designed for teams working at the intersection of simulation technology, immersive environments, and digital training platforms. While this evolution means some previous offerings will shift or sunset, it allows us to move forward with greater purpose: delivering tailored, high-impact solutions aligned with the future of work.
