Today we celebrated the end of the Kids Heart Challenge with our Hornets Have Heart Fun Run! Our High Point community came together to celebrate healthy hearts, healthy habits, and an amazing accomplishment - we raised $8,298 for the American Heart Association! ❤️

What a fantastic way to celebrate our Hornets who truly have heart!

Today, our Hornets gathered for our One School One Book reveal assembly! Students worked together with their house teams to crack a code using mathematical patterns and uncover the title of this year’s book. And now we can finally announce the big news… 🎉

High Point School will be reading A Strange Thing Happened in Cherry Hall by Jasmine Warga!

Every student will receive their own copy as we embark on this reading adventure together. We can’t wait to see where this story takes us and to share the excitement of being a community of readers!

Our Student Council members have been hard at work delivering the incentives earned by our students so far during our Kids Heart Challenge! We are so proud of the generosity and heart our Hornets are showing.

Here’s where we stand as of today:
❤️ 68 students registered
💰 $4,233.77 raised for the American Heart Association!

But we’re not done yet! Our goals are 200 students registered and $10,000 raised — and we have until next Thursday to make it happen!

Let’s keep the momentum going, Hornets! Every registration, every donation, and every act of kindness brings us one step closer to reaching our goals. Let’s show just how much heart High Point has! ❤️🐝

Dolly Day was a blast! We celebrated with pink, rhinestones, and western wear 🤠💎 and even stopped for a Drop Everything and Read at 9:25! 📚

Our Kids Heart Challenge is officially underway! This year, we’re coming together to support the American Heart Association and get our Hornets moving, learning, and showing just how much heart they have!

Students can help their House earn points simply by:
❤️ Getting registered for the Kids Heart Challenge
❤️ Completing Finn’s Mission and learning important heart-health and Hands-Only CPR skills
❤️ And, of course, participating in our Hornets Have Heart Fun Run during the school day on October 8!

And here’s the best part: Registering and completing Finn’s Mission do NOT require a donation! Every student can participate, learn something important, and help their House compete even if their family isn’t able to donate at this time.

We can’t wait to see which House will show the most HEART! ❤️🐝🏆
