District 146 teachers deserve fair compensation. The District’s latest proposal of 6%, 6%, and 5% is the highest increase offered to teachers in Tinley Park, Oak Forest, and Orland Park. Hemlock Drive in front of Kruse Education Center is open!

Hemlock Drive has been fully restored in time for the new school season. Landscape restorations throughout the project area have begun and sod has already been installed in many locations. Crews are working on resident water service transfers on Catalina Drive and Halesia Court and hope to have all remaining transfers complete by the end of September.

The District 146 Board of Education and Teacher’s Union have been negotiating a new teacher’s contract since February. Unfortunately, the two parties have not yet reached an agreement and are now in a “public posting process” that requires both parties to publicly post their most recent offers. We encourage you to review the Board’s last offer at district146.org/proposal
