Ruth Lynn Tutoring Services Tutoring services for Elementary Education, Middle School and High School Students. Education is my second career.

In 2013, I completed a Master Degree in Education from a highly accredited educational institution with exceptional grades. My areas of concentration are in Elementary Education, with Middle School endorsements in Music, Language Arts, ESL and Social Studies with 8 years of teaching experience. I also have a command of the English language, with exceptional writing, reading and vocabulary skills.

Prior to pursuing Education, I completed a Master Degree in Human Resources Management, and worked in the corporate business world for over 20 years at an Executive level. I believe my education and real world work experience is very useful in tutoring students of all ages. My undergraduate degree is in Music and I’ve been a recognized vocalist for more than 30 years. I can certainly say that I'm a lifelong learner. I believe that teaching children how to think responsibly is very important. My goal is to help a student understand their subject matter, and meet other critical standards, such as creativity, expression, and cooperation. Through the use of an assorted set of high-quality teaching methods, I believe I can reach students that are not great test takers, or who are just not proficient in certain subjects. As a tutor, it's my responsibility to help students to become goal driven which will motivate them to perform at an acceptable level. I'm available to meet at local libraries or in a student's home, as long as there are no distractions. I can also travel to other locations that are more convenient for the student.

Well, the school year is coming to a close. Even though summer is a time of fun activities for our students, it's still important to engage those who struggled with their subjects over the past term. Academics don't get any easier, only harder. If you can, have your student tutored one hour per week this summer to keep them in the game, and retain what they learned. 😀
